Boat Insurance discounts and savings

The following discounts may apply:

Diesel Engine Discount: Available for physical damage coverage if your boat is operated by a diesel engine.

Protective Device Discount: Available for physical damage coverage if your boat has one or more of the required protective devices aboard (such as an automatic fire extinguisher system, burglar alarm, ship to shore radio, depth finder, or self bailing system, etc.).

Boating Education Discount: Available on liability, medical and physical damage coverages if the insured has completed one of the listed and approved boating education courses given by a listed organization (such as the U.S. Coast Guard, Coast Guard Auxiliary, or U.S. Power Squadron).

Boat and Auto Discount: Available to any boat policyholder that also has their private passenger automobile insurance written with us. Both the boat policy and the auto policy must be written in the same state. Specifically, the discount applies to the boat liability, medical and physical damage coverages.

New Boat Discount: A discount of up to 40% may be applied to your boat physical damage coverage if the boat is less than 11 years of age. The newer the boat, the greater the discount. Age of boat is determined by model year.**

Primary Operator Experience: Available if the primary operator has 3 or more years boating experience.
